Eye Pencil Swap

Eye liner sits unnervingly close to your eye - or on your eye if you, like me, have accidentally gone rogue and drawn legit onto your eyeball.  Sounds gross...and it is!  Have I done it? Yes, more times than I can count.  I was a long time fan of Covergirl Perfect Point in espresso - it was my inner liner (eek!) staple for YEARS.  Eye pencils are surprisingly fickle - if they are too hard they feel like they are stabbing you in the face as you try and get them to write.  If they are too soft, you end up with either a really fat line or an actual blob of pencil stuck to your lid.  And that's before even getting to the part about what's actually in the pencil...

After trying several natch options, I've found two really great choices - I have been using both for months now.

Pro-tip on pencils: In general, I find the thinner line the better and then smudge out with your finger or a with a brush.  This will help the liner blend into your skin and keep it from straying.  If you are going for a bold line, I would opt for a cream or liquid eyeliner and then go back and fill in along the lash line with your pencil.

Eye Pencils to try:
Inika - I have Black Caviar.  If you want more than just a filler, Inika has quite a few color options for this pencil.

Antonym - I have Brown.  It comes in black and brown and is water resistant, so you don't have to worry about it migrating down your face.  Bonus: this one comes with a pencil sharpener (with a cover!) on the back of it - making it an excellent addition to your makeup bag.
